Rwanda has opened a new vaccine manufacturing plant. December 19,2023.

 

Rwanda has opened a new vaccine manufacturing plant in partnership with BioNTech.

It will produce 50 million doses of COVID-19 yearly.

This is part of African Union's plan to produce 60% of all vaccines locally by 2040.

Rwanda will host the African Pharmaceutical Technology Foundation.
