They say, ”The journey of
a thousand miles begins with a step” a Chinese proverb says.
Sit back, relax and follow
me as I walk you through my student leadership and stewardship journey till
now.
From day one I have served
my entire life. In this article, I will tell you about my journey and how it
all started but yet still let me give you all something to expect.
In my first year in the
tertiary, I started supporting good people with intentions that will help my
institution Koforidua Technical University (KTU).
And for that course, I
supported former president H.E Jessy Sasu Asante for the presidency and he won. Upon
assuming office, he then made me a member of his judiciary committee 21/22
academic year.
Through humility, I learnt human relationships and how to approach issues as and when they come. I learnt a lot during that time. Kudos H.E Jessy.
Nana Kwadwo Safo, Mawutor Atigya and running mate and Garvin (Safo on the far left and Garvin far right with Big tree and vice in the middle)With that aside, fast
forward in Level 200, I continued my journey as a student politician. Which I
decried to supporting Mawutor Atigya Foli for presidency. During that time, we
did a lot of activities even when we weren’t elected.
Here are some of the
activities,
Activities of Big tree
1: Trip to Oboutabri
2: Hostel Aerobics
3: Seminars
4: Aponkye🐐 Gala
5: Tuition for students in some courses
Unfortunately, our
aspirant was disqualified but that notwithstanding, he really taught me the
benefits of networking and knowing people. The exposure helped me to broaden
my network with people and my circle of connections even became more stronger
than before.

Whether I love agenda or
agenda loves me, for that l cannot tell. In anyway, agenda and l love each
other. That on the lighter side of things.
Leaving the past behind and focusing forward into the future comes another agenda. The agenda for H.E Emmanuel Akuffo for president.
As usual our experience
helped in the campaign process and we won massively by a wider margin vote.
All the intention was to bring someone who would elevate or make impart in the school.
After our victory and the assumption of office of the Emmanuel Akuffo led administration, I was appointed as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the administration.
Here are my achievements
as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) under our tenure of office.

The Road To GNUTS
National PRO Position
As I aspire to become the next Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Ghana National Union of Technical Students (GNUTS), I am driven by a burning passion to leverage my experience and expertise to propel our union to new heights. The remarkable progress achieved by the current GNUTS National Executive Council (NEC) should not be allowed to wane, but rather built upon to ensure sustained growth and recognition.
Nana Kwadwo Safo GNUTS 1st CC MeetingMy journey with GNUTS has equipped me with invaluable insights into the union's potential and challenges. I firmly believe that effective public relations are pivotal in showcasing our achievements, addressing our concerns, and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders. My vision is to harness the power of strategic communication to:
1. Enhance GNUTS' visibility and reputation through
targeted media engagement.
2. Foster stronger ties with educational institutions,
industry partners, and government agencies.
3. Promote member engagement and inclusivity through
regular updates and feedback mechanisms.
4. Develop and implement crisis management strategies
to protect GNUTS' interests.
I am therefore soliciting and asking for your votes at the next congress for you to vote, Nana Kwadwo Safo as your next GNUTS PRO.

embrace an era where we will give back to the union for the betterment of
GNUTS.
